DENIM WORKING HAT | Navy

First issued by the U.S. Army in 1934, the working denim hat was designed to be worn as part of a matching denim jacket and trouser set. Its wide, sun-shielding brim is cut from a generous donut of fabric, which lends the silhouette its distinctive volume and drape.

The concentric rows of topstitching that radiate from crown to outer edge are sewn in a single continuous pass - a technically demanding “one-stitch” construction faithful to the period original.
