Casual wedding suit pieces from HANSEN
At HANSEN, we have casual suits for men to fit whichever wedding you’re attending and wherever you stand within the wedding party. That means that our pieces are suitable wedding suits for grooms and groomsmen.
To begin, we have the Kristian two button blazer in navy melange. It is half lined and made out of a beautiful yarn dyed Italian fabric called delavé. This material is known as one of the world’s finest fabrics, a luxuriously woven linen which develops flecks of white in the dying process. It works brilliantly for men’s suits. The piece also has a small breast pocket and two flap pockets around the front. Although it has a traditional silhouette, the detailings bring a modern take to the tailored wedding suit. This combination of styles makes for the best wedding suits for grooms in a casual setting.
If you wish to buy wedding suits which have a much more casual edge, you could opt for one of our groom suits which are in workwear style. For example, the Nicolai informal 4-button blazer works brilliantly. The piece is made from Italian herringbone fabric which is woven with black and white yarns. This adds a beautiful texture and depth to the material. There is also a single slit in the back as a nod to the more formal suiting styles. The jacket also has four patched on pockets which help to emulate the workwear inspiration. There is also no lining or shoulder pads. Each of these details help to update the piece into something truly contemporary. Even though this may not be one of the types of wedding suits for grooms you may expect, it brings a completely new feel to the wedding day. Wedding suits for men do not need to be in the typical style.
If you like the idea of casual wedding attire for men, you may also like the Johannes casual blazer jacket. Again, this piece takes inspiration from the world of workwear with its flap pockets in the front and boxy fitting. The colour of the suit is a deep blue, making a lovely deviation from the traditional groomsmen suits in black. This groomsmen suit in blue is made from a loosely woven satin weave which is surprisingly light and airy compared to the way it looks. Therefore, it’s a brilliant choice for a mens summer wedding outfit. The piece also has inner pockets, horn buttons, and is a regular fit. Many of our styles are also available in a number of brilliant wedding suit colour combinations. The colours generally go between deep blues, rich grey tones, and nut colours. These make brilliant wedding suit colours for grooms, groomsmen, and any other member of the wedding party. FAQs about our casual wedding suit pieces
How to wash wedding suits?
As many of our pieces are made out of specialty materials such as wool, it’s important that you take the care guide seriously.
Each of the pieces will have a care label inside, telling you whether or not the pieces are machine washable or if you can put them in the tumble drier. In general, we suggest that you take other measures before all out washing your suit or taking it to the dry cleaners.
To begin, it’s important to hang your suit after you’ve worn it so that it can air out naturally. A lot of the time, this allows the fabric to breathe meaning that a wash is not necessary.
If there are any creases in your suit which you wish to remove, you can use a steamer. Steamers can also work to remove small stains from your suit without having to wash it.
A brush can also be used to remove dust particles and bits of fine debris. This is especially important for wool suits as the dust can weaken the woolen fibres. To brush your suit, hang it up and then use a suit brush to gentle brush downwards. It is beneficial to brush your suit after each time you wear it.
If possible, also keep your dry cleaning to a minimum. Each time a suit is dry cleaned, the chemicals used damage the fibres of the wool. If you keep up with the other steps needed to care for your suit, you shouldn’t need to dry clean your suit more than two times a year.
Finally, woolen suits can be a magnet for moths, leaving holes in your pieces. Protect your suits against them by putting mothballs in your wardrobe. This way, you suit will stay in the best condition possible.
Are there any women’s wedding suits?
As with all HANSEN Garments items, the pieces are classed as menswear, but that doesn’t stop people of all genders from wearing them. Many of the pieces make brilliant casual suits for women’s wearing too.
What to wear to a wedding for men guests with no suit?
If you have been asked not to wear a suit to a wedding, we have plenty of other mens wedding suit ideas for you to choose from. To begin, you could go for one of our more casual suit jackets such as the Johannes casual blazer jacket. This piece has prominent influences from workwear jackets, meaning that it naturally has a more casual feel. This can be a brilliant choice of mens wear for the marriage party. It is also very wearable meaning that the members of the party are likely to continue wearing the pieces after the wedding. You also have the option to wear casual suits with jeans. Again, this would work brilliantly with the Johannes casual blazer jacket or with something more formal such as the Anker casual 4-button blazer. For mens casual wedding guest attire, you also have the option of leaving the suit altogether and wearing a shirt instead. Wearing a waistcoat with no suit is another way to reinterpret the mens casual summer wedding attire look.
