Casual suit pieces available at HANSEN
To begin, we have our NICOLAI informal 4-button blazer. This piece is in sports jacket style, meaning that it was first designed to be worn with or without matching trousers and for outdoor sports. This makes the jacket versatile and durable.
Our version is made from 98% cotton and 2% elastane from a fabric made in Italy. It has a herringbone weave, meaning it has flecks of black and white yarns creating a beautiful texture. The surface is brushed as well, emanating the sorts of fabric workwear jackets are made from.
The piece has four buttons on the front and four jackets as well. The patch jackets add to the workwear aesthetic. It also has a small slit at the back to make it completely comfortable. Each of these details add up to an casual suit jacket style overall, also with the small collar and lapel details.
The NICOLAI blazer is made in colours northsea, a navy blue colour, nut, and woods. This piece is actually a popular casual suit for weddings, the perfect smart casual blazer. It is also made with three buttons for if you prefer a slightly different aesthetic.
The blazer pairs perfectly with the Kaj casual waistcoat which is also cut in each of the NICOLAI fabrics. This piece has six buttons going down the front with welted front pockets and a high neckline. This means that it sits beautifully underneath other garments.
Next, we have the JOHANNES casual blazer jacket with matching BEN crew neck waistcoat. This is one of our newer designs, cut in two fabrics - one with a taupe striped pattern and the other three-tone blue.
This piece is dead in the middle of being a men’s suit and a casual workwear piece. It has no lapels, buttoning all the way to the top, and has square flap pockets on the front, lending itself to a more informal feel. For this reason, it works brilliantly as a mens casual blazer with jeans, almost assuming the form of a moleskin jacket.
As with the other sets, the BEN waistcoat and choice of matching trousers too could make the look more formal. The BEN waistcoat has brilliant details, also buttoning all the way to the top of the piece, giving it the look of a workwear vest.
Another casual suit piece in our collection is the ANKER casual four-button blazer. This piece is inspired by old-world suiting styles, containing details such as a high-cut lapel, subtle shoulder pads, and small welted-pocket on the front.
The fabric however is what makes it so special, a combination of herringbone weave and pinstripes which was designed especially for HANSEN Garments. This 100% cotton piece is sharp yet modern, making it one of our best casual blazers. It pairs brilliantly with the WILLIAM high lapel waistcoat, distinct for its bold detailing.
This piece is perfect for special occasions, wedding guests and wedding party alike. The old-world style also means it makes for a brilliant womens trouser suit, a feminine frame clashing with the traditional details beautifully.
So many casual suit jacket looks are possible with the pieces we offer here at HANSEN. It has been our pleasure to develop and add to this collection over the years. We hope you enjoy it just as much as we do.
FAQs about casual suit pieces
How to wear a blazer casually?
There are so many ways to wear blazers casually, especially if you like a blazer with jeans combination.
Many of our pieces which have a heavy workwear influence are easy to pull this look off with. The casual suits with jeans work as they are made out of very similar fabrics. Many of our suit trousers could even be mistaken for a pair of jeans themselves thanks to the soft cotton blend they’re made out of.
Casual suits with t-shirts are also a brilliant informal style. Our lighter pieces, the summer blazer mens, work especially well, creating a laid back, holiday feel. This is the perfect mens casual summer wedding attire.
If you’re looking for something to pair with your suit and t shirt combination, the JAMES slub yarn pocket t is a great addition. It has a lovely surface texture and is made from 100% cotton.
What to wear to a wedding reception for males?
We believe that our collection is the perfect answer for casual wedding outfits for men. In fact, amongst our collection are wedding suits for grooms and groomsmen alike.
The FREDERIK casual two button blazer, for example, a brilliant example of casual wedding attire for grooms. Whilst it has a traditional silhouette, it’s been updated with modern details such as the diagonal slit pocket on the breast of the piece.
Paired with the matching DANIEL waistcoat, the suit takes on another style altogether. The waistcoat has traditional welted pockets on the front and sits beautifully beneath the jacket. The Italian, hounds-toothweave fabric has an uneven, yet beautifully intricate quality. With such enduring materials, the suit always looks well put together.
For a more modern look, our workwear inspired designs are also brilliant for casual groom attire. Our NICOLAI blazer, for example, is informal compared to other wedding suit styles. However, when paired with the KAJ waistcoat, it simply appears as an updated version of traditional designs - a new style suit.
If it is a very laid back day, you could even wear one of the HANSEN Garments blazers with jeans for a wedding. It is possible to buy wedding suits which are that balance of classic groom style with modern details for your big day.
Can these pieces be worn by men and women?
As with all HANSEN Garments pieces, they are made in the menswear style but also work brilliantly as an androgenous womens suit set look. It’s important to be wary of sizing as they are given in mens sizes but it’s always possible to try them on in store. If you like an oversized casual suit womens look, they are perfect.
Women’s workwear suits are more common. All of the workwear pieces that we create are made with women in mind too.
