A HANSEN take on a traditional denim jacket - it is entirely made in Japan and has a relaxed boxy fit with two flap pockets on the front and welt pockets at the side. There is contrast top-stitching throughout which is in a distinctive non-parallel form on the front pockets and back yoke. Adjusters on the back waistband, key hole buttonholes and minimal stud buttons and rivets are authentic finishing touches.
This very special fabric is created in Okayama, the birthplace of Japanese denim. Known as ‘neppy’ denim, it has distinctive white flecks (or ‘neps’) giving it a used, vintage appearance. It is a classic 13oz weight denim which means it is tough and durable but is comfortable to wear. The jacket has had a single wash.
