HANSEN Garments SS20 Campaign with Carsten Bjørnlund

Renowned Danish actor Carsten Bjørnlund has the lead role in our SS20 image campaign. Carsten has been a friend of the Hansen house since 2015, when he came by to be outfitted for his nomination for the Robert film prize, an award given by the Danish Film Academy.

As could be expected Carsten won, for the best male lead role in a TV series. He did so, in 2015 and then again in 2016, both times for his role in "Arvingerne".
Over the years Carsten has appeared in leading roles in quite a few critically acclaimed Danish tv-series and films, in addition to his work in theater.

Besides being a well-known actor (and friend), we think Carsten has the personality that we like to portray in our ongoing series of significant characters.

His range is explored and portrayed in our SS20 Image Campaign thanks to Erik Refner. We have yet again collaborated with Danish born World Press Photography winner, to shoot the new collection. As always, in Refner’s forever strait forward raw and honest style, that helps to bring out the best of Carsten as well as the garments.

We created some iconic HANSEN Garments looks for Carsten.
Discover the pieces involved below.
  • The Christoffer Blazer is a new two button blazer, introduced for SS20. In this version the contemporary silhouette is amplified by this linen-cotton blend fabric in a check patchwork. The blazer’s casual nature makes it easy to wear on its own, or as part of HANSEN’s well known three-piece suit.
  •
  • Underneath the checkered blazer, Carsten is wearing the Daniel waistcoat in a matching mixed check fabric. Daniel is a straight forward drop neck waistcoat, perfect for wearing a tie and with button size-regulators on the back and welted pockets on the front.
  •
  • The wide cut and pleated front, makes the Sune trouser a very comfortable alternative. Especially in this light linen-cotton blend fabric, it is ideal for warm summer days, either worn on its own or as part of a suit.

HENNING is the Hansen everyday shirt. We beleive this fabric is addictive and the reason we have made this version of HENNING for 12 seasons.

  • Introduced for this season, Basse offers a longer and looser fit. Collarless and with a tuxedo inspired pleated bib, the shirt is versatile and unique.

  • Falling somewhere i the middle, Johannes blends jacket elements with those of a blazer. This makes for a half lined blazer jacket, that will do well as blazer in spring and a light piece of outerwear in summer.

  • The Ben crewneck waistcoat is introduced for SS20, in a striped linen blend fabric. The crewneck makes the waistcoat stand out and makes great for casual layering.

  • The wide cut Ken trousers are a staple piece in any HANSEN collection. That is down to the flattering loose fit and this season’s light fabric this is a great pair of trousers.
  • Carsten is wearing our classic Casual Work Wear Jacket LAUST. This jacket is somewhere between a short denim jacket and a work wear jacket. It comes with 5 pockets, a striped facing, horn buttons and has a regular fit.
  •
  • The Lennart is heavily inspired by traditional work wear with a tool pocket and all over top stitching. All in a rugged cotton twill wrapped package with a loose and relaxed fit.
  •
  • Our classic Henning shirt good for all seasons, it is a staple of any HANSEN collection. This season in a light blue colour, still pure cotton, French seams all over and mother of pearl buttons.
  • Anders is a workwear inspired jacket, that sits well between a jacket and an overshirt. That is especially clear this season as the fabric is a super light and dens cotton poplin.
  •
  • The Wide cut and light fabric of this season’s Eigil trouser, is a great match for the warm summer days. The density of the poplin fabric and and the pleats make them an easy trouser to dress up for summer parties.
