NORDIC URBAN TRIBAL STYLE

"WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH, THE TOUGH GETS GOING"

In February the temperature in Denmark dropped magnificently. Our small team decided to step up and handle it with style, keeping our mood up by outdoing each other in a layering contest. The outcome was something we call the "Nordic Urban Tribal Style".

Here are our best outfits – all buckled up for the cold.

Enjoy!

SMOCK IT!

The ultimate protection against the cold is our ROALD anorak. This piece gives a laid-back urban vibe to the full look, which can be further elevated with cool accessories. Per choose a wild hog leather glove and a mechanics cap with foldable earflaps. Additional layers like a knitted pullover will provide extra warmth underneath.

The DESIGNER AND THE SCARF

When in doubt, add a scarf. This statement is true whether we talk about cold and windy weather or being indecisive about your daily look. Åse is wearing the ROALD Anorak as well, perfect example how easy to style this piece differently. She paired the clean style anorak with textured scarf and a beret, resulting in a gentlewoman look.

KRISTIAN IN BROWN LAYERS

Kristian created a soft and warm look combining different textures. He is wearing two of our AW20 wool coats for double protection, SIGURD and ATLAS. He paired the brown palette with FRANS browntweed knitted scarf and the checkered wide cut trouser KEN.

OUT LAYerING ALL

Alexander's look takes the trophy for the most layered one for sure. This combination would put you through the hardest winters. He paired up NOAH knitted waistcoat with BALDER jacket, and put STORM winter coat on the top. TORE beanie, FRANS knitted scarf and the HIKER boots made the look complete.

CHROIS THE MAN WITH THE HAT

Many layers do not mean a look needs to be bulky. With the right pieces, you can be warm and cool at the same time. Per is wearing more than four layers , yet the outfit did not loose it natural silhuette. He choose the NORMANN knitted pullover as a base, and added extra warmth with HERPERT waistcoat and ARVE tweed jacket.

ÅSE HANSEN WITH URBAN TRIBE VIBES

A bandana is a really versatile piece of the wardrobe. It can be used as a scarf, a headband or even a waistband. Åse, in this case, created a protective hat replacement from it and combined the look with several layers. The result is what we call "nordic urban tribal style".

GOING TO WAR

Preparing to go out in this cold, layering up against the elements. Kristian picked RUNE winter hooded parka to fight the freezing weather. Corduroy KEN trousers, ALVIN turtleneck pullover and WILLIAM lapel waistcoat are ensuring the warm underneath. As the icing on the cake he added a pair of yellow leather gloves.

ALEXANDER THE MYSTeRY MAN IN PATCHWORK

Hat, sunglasses, scarf or mask...this is the mystery man we meet often on the streets. In Alexander case, the good pick of the layers resulted in an exquisite look. Our ROB patchwork shawl coat under the SIGURD wool coat adds a texture to the monochrome silhouette.
