Each of our pieces are season-less, meaning they don’t come in and out of vogue. Instead, items are made with longevity in mind, both in terms of style and quality. Therefore, our SS20 collection is made up of old classics as well as newcomers, pieces updated with new detailing, and our favourites, cut in new fabrics.
Our HENNING shirt, for example, has now been part of the HANSEN Garments collection for twelve seasons. This light-weight, Italian cotton twill is soft to wear and is the perfect base for our casual suit combinations. Therefore, it’s remained a solid part of our collection.
Other signature pieces have also been brought back, only with updated details. The JONNY short-sleeved shirt is a classic HANSEN Garments item. The style refers to the 50's, with a converted collar and decorative stitches. To reinvent the piece, we tweaked the design, adding more of our contrast colour stitching on the front placket. It breathes fresh life into one of our classic, much-loved items.
Of course, we’re also excited to add newcomers to our collection. Each of our new designs follows our classic aesthetic - the ruggedness of workwear paired with finer tailoring references.
The JOHANNES casual blazer jacket is one of our most anticipated additions, perfectly blending workwear with formal details. Boxy flap pockets adorn the front of the piece, with horn buttons and a workwear-style collar. However, if you choose to dress the piece up, you can match it with a BEN crewneck, five-button waistcoat, another of our new additions.
The jacket and waistcoat come in two fabrics, each adhering to differing levels of formality. The first is an Italian linen and viscose fabric, blended to be cooling as well as drapey-feeling. Uneven stripes tunnel down the surface of the material, adding a pleasing irregular texture.
The other material is double-faced Italian cotton and linen. Again, this fabric balances the line between being heavy-looking, but also light and airy to wear.
We’ve also cut our KEN wide cut trousers in both of the new fabrics, meaning you can create HANSEN’s trademark, casual suit look.
Another piece we are happy to add is our CHRISTOFFER two-button blazer. This piece is made from two checkered fabrics, playfully patchworked together. The Japanese cotton and linen blend is comfortable to wear. The piece features many delicate, timeless details, such as a pointet lapel. It’s a bold design, with subtleties blended through the piece too.
To match, we’ve cut our classic DANIEL four-button waistcoat in the same fabrics. Our FRED regular fit trousers are available in the subtle check and our SUNE pleated wide cut trousers in the bold checkered material.
