HANSEN GARMENTS AUTUMN WINTER '26

A WALK IN THE PARK
For many, an urban park can be a much-needed escape: an oasis where the restorative calm of nature can be experienced just steps from the chaos of city life. For a couple of minutes, we can swap the hard lines and grey tones of a metropolis for a softer, organic landscape that allows us to breathe deeply and relax. It is this interplay between city and nature that HANSEN explores in the AW26 collection, bringing together urban modernity and the laid-back attitude of country style.

The colour palette reflects this dichotomy. Black, charcoal and navy form a cool metropolitan counterpoint to natural shades of dark green, brown and bordeaux. Flashes of strong blue evoke urban workers uniforms whilst warm tones of ochre have a more rural charm. City slicker pinstripes are subtly faded in a cool wool tailoring fabric and rendered in a bomber jacket and balloon pants as an alternative and contemporary set. Other suits include a very soft herringbone stripe in black and white that has the attitude of a vintage find or a complex broken twill in forest green that would be perfect for a weekend escape to the countryside.

Ultra soft baby cord is used for overshirts and pull-on pants - perfect for easy living - whilst checked flannel shirting has a relaxed air. More dressed up shirts are in clean stripes of yellow or blue but still in a relaxed fit to avoid stuffiness. Knits include a traditional Norwegian jacquard design made modern in a light weight alpaca blend and sporty zip-up cardigans in deep burgundy or blue melange. For something a little bolder, a blouson and pleated pants appear in a creative mash up of camo and leopard and an overcoat comes in a strong tweedy check.
But whether you are opting for a city suit or a cosy parka for the weekend, the vibe is relaxed and comfortable: dressing should not be complicated and difficult, rather it should just be a walk in the park.
