Hansen SS26 Sashiko

During our time in Japan sourcing fabrics and manufacturers for our denim project, we came across a textile unlike anything we had seen before.

A cotton jacquard that echoes the labor-intensive art of sashiko stitching. Woven from indigo-dyed yarns, it carries an intricate, almost rustic character - offering a distinct contrast to more traditional jacquards.

Bridging craft and innovation, this fabric translates what would typically require countless hours of stitching into a form that can be reproduced without losing its depth or integrity.
