From our SS20 collection, the KRISTIAN two-button blazer is a contemporary choice which also features thoughtfully-placed classic details. It has two flap pockets on the front of the piece, as well as a high breast pocket. It’s half-lined, meaning it sits elegantly on the body.
The blazer is made from an Italian, yarn-dyed fabric called delavé. The yarn is washed before it’s woven, meaning different coloured flecks subtly brighten the material. The herringbone weave also adds to the uneven, vivid structure of the blazer. The quality of the fabric shines out of the piece.
Our DANIEL four-button waistcoat makes the perfect pairing. To match the classic details of the blazer, the waistcoat has welted pockets on the front and button size regulators on the back. You also have a choice of pieces for your bottom half in this same Italian herringbone fabric. Our FRED trousers have a regular fit and the SUNE pleated wide-cut trousers are brilliant for making more of a statement.
Each of the pieces are also made in a different fabric entirely, a coffee melange. This material is again delavé, but offers you an alternative colour scheme, deviating from those typically chosen for wedding attire. It’s the perfect choice for those who want a distinct wedding aesthetic.
Some prefer their wedding outfit to reflect more of their everyday style. Our NICOLAI informal 4-button blazer works brilliantly if you’re one of those people. This piece borrows design references from workwear, featuring patched on pockets and a single slit in the back. There’s also no lining or shoulder pads in this piece. The effect is understated cool.
Although the silhouette is laid back, the fabric is of the brilliant quality you expect from HANSEN Garments. For our favourite version of the piece, in our north sea colour, the blazer is made from Italian herringbone weave fabric once again. The material is woven with black and white yarns, adding depth and a rich texture to the piece.

Once again, this piece is made from a blue delave fabric (can you sense a trend here?) which is lightweight and 100% linen. This gives the piece a wonderful, slightly wrinkled texture, making it perfect for summer. It’s very comfortable to wear.
In a similar style to our KAJ waistcoat, this piece has a high-cut lapel - an understated detail, but one that makes a big difference to the overall aesthetic. The patched on pockets inject the piece with workwear styling. The blazer also has shoulder pads for structure. So, now you know what we mean by the perfect compromise. Just add a tie if you want to keep it formal or wear with just a breezy white shirt underneath if you’re a casual kind of person.
